Outlook Tasks Moving Tasks to Folders

The following assumes you have made "Tasks" folders using the Control Shift e key command. You have a number of folders, and many tasks in the "Tasks" folder. You need to organize or sort these tasks in order to easily find items that you need. One method for moving the tasks to other folder is the Control Shift v key command--just like the command for the Outlook Inbox. Do the following activity to learn how to move tasks from the "Tasks" folder to other folders. When you are finished move to the link at the bottom of this page titled "BACK" to go to the "Outlook Lessons" web page.

1. Open Outlook.

2. Press Control 4 to go to the "Tasks" area of Outlook.

3. Down arrow to a task that you want to move to another folder.

4. Press Control Shift v to bring up the "Move Items" dialogue box.

5. Down or up arrow to the folder where you want to move the task.

6. Hit the Enter key one time and the task will be moved to the folder you arrowed to.

7. Repeat steps "3 through 6" above to move other tasks from the "Tasks" folder to other folders.

NOTE: This lesson only covers moving tasks from the "Tasks" folder to other folders.
